Philadelphia Christian School K5 Graduation Ceremony Summer 2024

In July 2024, Philadelphia Christian School held its first graduation ceremony for the Kindergarten class (K5). Susan Weckbecker, our Kindergarten teacher from Germany, as well as Adryn Matai Yos, colleagues, and parents diligently prepared the children for this memorable event. Dressed festively in blue gowns and hats, the children presented songs, poems, and last year’s learning outcomes.

Among the guests in attendance were representatives from the Ministry of Education, Department of Education, members of the local church, Principal Raster Rasauo “Sotto”, Manuel Rauchholz, and the chief delegates from Chukiyenu Village.

In a brief speech, one K5 student expressed his gratitude, saying: “On behalf of all the students, I would like to thank PCS for teaching us here.”

Many family members and friends of PCS rewarded the students with gifts, money decorations, and adorned them with candy leis and maramwars.

Certificates of recognition were awarded to the students by Manuel Rauchholz and Susan Weckbecker. Tarson Paulus, now Vice Chairman of the R&D House of Representatives since 2025, greeted each student with a handshake and handed them a special envelope, bringing great joy to the young graduates.
